LIGHT4HEALTH International Project Second Summer School.

From the first week of October to the first week of November 2020, the second summer school is being held within the framework of the Erasmus + Strategic Partnership grant program. Among the partners and project participants are the world's leading universities and European schools of architecture. Namely – Creative Lighting Department ITMO University (Russia), Thomas Jefferson University (USA), University of Wolverhampton (UK), Aalborg University (Denmark), Hochschule Wismar (Germany) and KTH Royal Institute (Sweden). The second summer school is being held online now and covers the topic "Lighting for educational and office spaces".

The peculiarities of the perception of lighting will be investigated under various scenarios and for different groups of users, taking into account national and cultural characteristics, geographic zones and climatic conditions. Work on the project will be carried out in international groups, which are going to include participants from different universities of the consortium – one from each university.

During the first week participants were introduced to lighting standards. The second week’s main focus was on visual and non-visual lighting metrics. During the third week, we are touching upon the subjects of the user-orient smart lighting design. Weeks four and five are devoted to working on the final lighting design project. The fifth week will end with presentations of final lighting design group projects.
The international LIGHT 4 HEALTH PROJECT will be completed in 2021. Access to the unique platform will be open to all parties interested in the project: consortium members, professional lighting designers, researchers, as well as students and teachers of the project's associated partners, including VIA-Verlag (Germany), Università Iuav di Venezia (Italy), Vicenza Institute of architecture (Italy), Roma Tre University (Italy), Tallinn University school of digital technology (Estonia), Seoul Semiconductor company( USA), etc.
